With the Source Wall broken, Poseidon dead, the shores seem to be closing in on us all. The waters are growing dark.

Synopsis for "Drowned Earth: Prelude"
Aquaman and Wonder Woman go sailing, using Poseidon's Bottled Ships to discover an ancient atlantean ship, as per Poseidon's final request. Wonder Woman believes the ship may hold the key to the Graveyard of Gods.
Meanwhile, Superman, Flash, and Adam Strange fight Volcano Men on Veracity Island. They believe it was once the location of the Hall of Doom, however, as Adam Strange is quick to point out, the Hall of Doom is made up of energy similar to that of a Zeta-Beam, thereby allowing it to be someplace without physically appearing there. They discover an energy signature alluding to something being launched into deep-space.
With Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter currently on a mission in Thanagar, Batman is left at the Hall of Justice, using Starro, to probe Starman's mind for information about the Totality.
Aquaman and Wonder Woman discover the key to the Graveyard of Gods deep within the ice and are promptly attacked by an intergalactic Kraken that transforms Firestorm into a mysterious aquatic creature. The Kraken opens a portal that sucks Aquaman into the Blood Reef, the home of the Triumvirate of Sea Gods. They inform Aquaman they are planning an attack on earth in response to the beacon sent from Veracity Island.
Aquaman watches powerlessly as The Triumvirate floods the earth with their alien purple waters, transforming everyone it touches into the same aquatic creatures as Firestorm.
