- I almost wish the Seven Soldiers were still alive to witness this day-- The day of my ultimate triumph! They thought me dead-- Destroyed by the same device I had tried to use on them-- But they were wrong! I survived-- Rather, most of me survived! Ironically, my own hand was hopelessly mangled-- Forcing me to replace it with this-- The mechanical Iron Hand from which I take my new name! But no! The Law's Legionnaires are gone-- And the Justice Society of America stands in their place to thwart me! But I will not be conquered again! Like the Seven Soldiers of Victory before them, the Justice Society must die!
