- I did it! I made Superman disappear!
Justice League of America #13 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 1962.
Synopsis for "The Riddle of the Robot Justice League!"
While out on various solo adventures, the members of the Justice League are all transported to a distant planet by Sforll who has collected them to stop Zedd Brann. Brann is an alien from the planet Skarn whose people have devised a device which will drain the life force of entire universes. If they succeed in draining the universe of the Justice League, they will bring about the destruction of the Earth. When Sforll's original champion tried to stop the Skarns and their plot he became the victim of their device that creates robot duplicates of the Skarns' foes.
The Justice League agree to help Sforll and travel to Skarn to challenge them and foil their plot to destroy the universe. They end up in the battle arena fighting robot duplicates of themselves. With Aquaman as adviser, each JLA member is able to defeat their robot. However, even though they are victorious they still haven't found the device that is draining the life-force of the universe. Realizing that it is in the very arena they battle in, the JLA destroy the device and then Green Lantern uses his power ring to seal the planet off so that if they build a similar device in the future it is useless.
After their victory, the JLA are hailed as heroes, however, they return to Earth to continue their never-ending mission to be defenders of that planet.
