Justice League of America #162 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1979.

Synopsis for "The Creation Conspiracy"

The Justice League is on a mission and while fighting the threat, Zatanna is stunned by a mental wave, after which she discovers that she has been under an amnesia-inducing spell and is unable to recall the reason she had adopted her new costume.

Meanwhile, an attempt to recover a stolen genetic compound sees Green Lantern taken out of action, and Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow made prisoners of the Shark, now in a new monstrous form. Escaping, the three Justice League members are able to use the Shark's devices to devolve the villain and his mutated creatures back to their normal forms.

Moments later, Zatanna is joined by Elongated Man and Red Tornado on her quest to find the truth and they trace Zatanna's memories back to the old places where she performed as a stage magician with her father. Following the trail, the trio is eventually drawn to Zatanna's childhood place, where they are attacked with magic summoned by none other than Zatara, Zatanna's father. It is then that Zatanna realizes that her quest to learn the truth about her mother has begun.
