You'll remember I wasn't too happy when we voted this new guy Firestorm into the League a few weeks back. I didn't have anything against the kid, personally, but it looked to me like the League was getting just too powerful! Face it, when half the guys in the group can move mountains, it changes your perspective. Suddenly, only the big fights seem important... And pretty soon, the small battles... The ones that affect people's lives... Just don't seem to matter anymore. At least, that's the way it seemed to me!
Justice League of America #181 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 1980.
Synopsis for "The Stellar Crimes of the Star-Tsar!"
Green Arrow's super-hero comrades (including those who were not present for the case in the previous issue) bring him to the JLA satellite to demand a further explanation for his resignation. Meanwhile, Felix Faust, now reformed and working as Curator of Special Literature at the Star City Public Library, unearths the secret journal of the warlock Nostromus and becomes possessed by the sorcerer's spirit. When Faust alerts the Justice League to Nostromus's intention to resurrect himself and wreak magical havoc on the world, they enter into battle with the demonic entity. The other members are defeated, but Green Arrow, accompanying them at the urging of Black Canary, saves the day by destroying the journal, which banishes the spirit. Nevertheless, he is adamant in his decision to leave the team.
