Justice League of America #188 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of March, 1981.
Synopsis for "The Metamorph War"
Proteus seemingly destroyed the Flash with a blast although he actually vibrated into the ground while leaving a vanishing after image and attacked him from behind after vibrating back up. However, he still had to fight the impostor that Proteus planned to replace him with while the other heroes fought their impostors after they had robbed a vault. As the heroes learned that their impostors were able to replicate their powers through technology, the real Flash returned and learned that the real Zatanna was changed into a street derelict.
After finding her in the subway system, he helped her remember before she cast a spell that changed her back to her normal self. Then, they planned to change the others back while the Flash also insisted that they had "some more talking to do".
