Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 1964.
Synopsis for "Crisis on Earth-Three!"
Having grown bored of being undefeated criminals in their home universe of Earth-Three, a reality where evil is the dominant force over good), the Crime Syndicate of America (whose members are the evil versions of the Justice League of Earth-One) learn of Earth-One and decide to commit crimes in that reality, hoping to be challenged by the Justice League.
Each of the Earth-Three Crime Syndicate members battles a JLA member (Ultraman fighting the Flash, Johnny Quick fighting Batman, Superman battling Power Ring, Super Woman battling Wonder Woman, and Owl Man battling Green Lantern). Although the JLA members manage to gain the upper hand against the Earth-Three villains, the CSA have a failsafe: by saying the magic word "Volthoom", they transport themselves and their opponents to Earth-Three where the Earth-One counterparts are immobilized and made prisoner.
Having claimed supremacy over the Justice League, the Crime Syndicate decides to prove their abilities superior the Justice Society of America of Earth-Two, hoping to clear the playing field for a final battle between the JLA and CSA. However, the JSA detects Ultraman's viewing their reality and contact the JLA to learn that the CSA is coming to battle them on Earth-Two, and warn their Earth-Two counterparts of their secret weapon: The magic word Volthoom.
