Synopsis for "The Key – Master of the World!"

A criminal calling himself "the Key" has drugged Snapper Carr and conditioned him to put an psychotropic drug in the punch bowl of a JLA meeting. Under the influence of the drug the JLA decide to disband and destroy their base and resume their solo careers. Another effect of the psychotropic drug is that they are unable to see the Key's henchmen.

So as the various JLA members stop other criminals, the Key's men can enter and leave the scene of the crime and take what they want without being seen or noticed by the JLA members. However, the Key did not figure the various heroes sidekicks into the equation, as when Hawkman and Hawkgirl battle the Monarch Butterfly Gang, Hawkgirl spots the Keymen and is curious enough to find out what happened.

Curing Hawkman of the effects, Hawkman and Hawkgirl use the Absorbacon to learn the secret identities of the other JLA members so that they too can be cured. With the group restored to normal they track down the Key and work together to shut down his operation. Fighting through all his traps, the JLA make short work of the Key and take him into custody.
