Synopsis for "Missing in Action -- 5 Justice Leaguers!"
The story opens with Snapper Carr explaining to the reader that when there is a call for the Justice League of America to unite to stop some menace, not all the members can make it because they are busy with other cases on their own. He then begins to explain what other JLA members were up too while the others were on a mission.
His first example was when the Justice League was fighting the Lord of Time (in Justice League of America #50), Hawkman and Hawkgirl were off trying to stop a villain named Faceless, who turned out to be a brainwashed Martian Manhunter. After reviving Manhunter, the two JLA members then busted up the real Faceless' gang. They are joined by Green Lantern who was tracing Faceless who had somehow been using Green Lantern's power ring for his own evil ends.
Snapper next explains that also at that time, the Atom was busy in the past protecting Benjamin Franklin (as depicted in The Atom #27.) Finally Snapper tells how Batman and Superman battled robots from the future, who would later attack Superman in his Fortress of Solitude a week later hoping to take away his invulnerability, however Superman would trick the robots and destroy them.
