After their head-on collision the two teams split off into smaller fights, each finding themselves matched with their equivalent or opposite. Killer Frost struggles to find the power to fight so she absorbs some of Cyborg's leaving him alone on the beach. The Lanterns take down El Diablo just as Flash outmaneuvers Captain Boomerang.
Eventually, though the battle seems to be in the Justice League's control, Enchantress manages to overpower Superman with her magic leaving him open for Killer Frost to absorb his energy. With Kryptonian life force in her, Frost's powers are enhanced massively and the Justice League are defeated. The find themselves trapped within Waller's clutches as she welcomes them into the Suicide Squad.
