Synopsis for "Justice League vs. Suicide Squad, Chapter Five"
Having turned the Justice League into his Eclipso slaves, Maxwell Lord used them to dominate the entirety of the United States of America as he sits in the White House contemplating his next move, he sends Superman out to find someone who would appreciate his actions, Waller.
Waller, Batman, Deadshot and the decapitated Lobo remain trapped under the wreckage of Belle Reve. As Superman flies down to collect Waller, Batman pulls out his Kryptonite Ring though Clark shrugs it off and takes his ward. From nowhere Lobo sits up, his head partially regrown, and punches a way out through the rubble.
Now above ground they meet up with Rick Flag and Katana while the other Squad members deal with a possessed Cyborg who manages to resist Eclipso's power by splitting his human and cyborg halves. As Cyborg reveals the extent of Lord's power things look desperate but after some convincing Batman swears in the Suicide Squad and Lobo as honorary JL members.
In the White House Maxwell brags about his accomplishments to Waller but as he throws open the balcony doors all that can be seen is carnage and rioting. Waller slaps Lord into seeing through the Eclipso illusion causing him to break down and beg for mercy.
The new-JL boom-tube onto the lawn of the White House and charge toward Lord but are intercepted by the possessed League members. With them serving as a distraction Lord begins to convulse and the sun slowly becomes eclipsed as Lord's psyche is lost to Eclipso who hovers above the fighting and threatens to strip the world, and to corrupt it.
