Kalista was a member of the royal family of Euphorix. She became a member of the Omega Men and wife of its leader Primus.
History
Born to royal parents in Euphorix's capital, Kalista's childhood in the royal arbor was sheltered, even spoiled. In her early teens, Kalista begam rigorous training under the director of Lorlady Sherilla to develop her natural hex powers. Kalista proved a good student and won the right to ascend to the throne on her mother's death by defying all challengers at an heir ritual.
Kalista first met her husband-to-be Primus secretly, but later grew to know him better when they were sent together to Okaara. Prmus wooed and won her heart then, and together they shared a dream of uniting the disparate rebel forces of the Vega star system against the Citadel. On their return, Kalista's parents violently opposed to their union. Defying them, she married Primus secretly just before her husband was banished from Euphorix. Kalista played the carefree socialite for some time, until her parents' death brought her to the throne. Then she welcomed Primus back, and announced him as her consort to the people. Primus was well liked, but their relationship was damaged by that early separation.
As the Citadel War became more wide-spread, Kalista decided to join Primus's Omega Men and named Alonzo Dulak as her regent. After the war was over, Kalista returned to Euphorix and reinstated her rule. However, Euphorix fell under attack by fringed elements of the Citadel Empire which forced Kalista to permanently activated Euphorix's Planetary Shield, cutting her planet off from the rest of the galaxy and separating herself from Primus. This isolation did not last long in which the shield was dissolved by the actions of the Omega Men's ally Auron and Kalista was reunited with Primus.[1]

- Black Repulsion: opponents see what they most fear;
- Eldritch Blast
- Enhanced Vision: Can remotely view what occur in other place, and show it for others.
- Illusion Casting: opponents see what they most desire.
- Immobilization: Kalista can mystically paralyze opponents.
- Molecular Reconstruction
- Telekinesis: she possesses telekinesis, though it is not as powerful as Primus.
- Enhanced Senses: Kalista can automatically detect the measure of power of a living person.[2]

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
