Karen Beecher is a student at Metropolis High School as well as the heroine known as Bumblebee.
History
In an attempt to get herself recognised Karen construct an exosuit hoping that would allow her to increase her size but she could not get the suit to function properly it instead caused her to shrink in size instead. Her tech was spotted by her new classmate, Barbara, who revealed Karen as a 'superhero' to four other girls with powers. While Karen was initially too nervous to become a hero she was trained alongside the others by Diana, who decided to name her "Bumblebee" after her small height and the noise her wings made, and the six girls formed a new super-team.

- Expert Combatant: Even without her suit, Karen has shown she capable of fighting without it. Such as when she fought off her fair share of plant zombies, alongside Jessica and Barbara.[1]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series DC Super Hero Girls and is an adaptation of Bumblebee. The original character was created by Bob Rozakis and Irv Novick and first appeared in Teen Titans #45.
- Bumblebee was voiced by Kimberly Brooks.
Trivia
- As a teen, Karen is "the Nobody. Shy. Awkward. Sympathetic. Full of heart". As a hero, Bumblebee is "the Rookie. Brilliant (just doesn't know it yet). Eager. Clumsy. Never gives up."
- Karen is 14 years old.[2]
- She is a big fan of romantic movies, especially the Just Before Dark franchise, a parody of the Twilight saga.
