Karmak was an A.R.G.U.S. agent.
History
He was sent to Gorilla City to find out if Gorilla Grodd's rule could be considered a war threat to the US. However, his cover was discovered and he was imprisoned and mentally tortured by Grodd to reveal his mission in the city. Karmak bravely resisted Grodd's mental attack thanks to having protected his mind with telepathic barriers until he could be rescued by A.R.G.U.S. and Wonder Woman.[1]

- Karmak was created by Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino, first appearing in Detective Comics #339. However, Karmak first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Batman Incorporated (Volume 2) #0 by Steve Orlando and V. Ken Marion.
