Wait, you're not my big human shark bad guy.
Karshon, better known as Shark, is a long-time foe of Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern.
History
An established member of the Green Lantern's rogues gallery,[1] the Shark was incarcerated at Stryker's Island Penitentiary. During a riot instigated by the Parasite, he attacked the superhero Green Arrow, but was dispatched by an electric shock delivered by the prison's staff.[2] Loosed, the Shark spent time gambling at Roulette's casino in the nation of Zandia, a safe haven for supervillains.[3]
In the country Corto Maltese, he worked with medicine-stealing pirates, drawing the ire of local hero Fuerza. After a brief battle with the Flash and Fuerza,[4] he was captured and sent to Belle Reve, where he joined the Suicide Squad. On their first mission, they were sent to battle rebel fighters. The Shark managed to kill one of them, Scale before being punched off the submarine they were on.[5]
Following his first mission, Shark was sent on another mission in order to protect the president of a country. During this mission, he was assigned to work with Fin, the brother of Scale. Fin betrayed Shark and using his aquatelepahty, commanded the sharks and fish in the water to devour Shark, avenging his brother.[6]
The Shark later resurfaced alive as an agent of Lord Premier Thaaros of United Planets, who dispatched him to Earth to capture Green Lantern Hal Jordan, lending him to Amanda Waller's anti-superhero Bureau of Sovereignty.[7] At the Bureau's headquarters on Gamorra Island, Karshon tortured Jordan while Waller interrogated him on the new power source of his Green Lantern Ring. When he was left alone with Jordan, however, the Green Lantern knocked the Shark unconscious with a headbutt to the nose and escaped his restraints, in which he bound the Shark.[8]
