Katarina "Luka" Netz was one of Spyral's oldest members and the daughter of the former Director of Spyral Otto Netz. She was also for a brief time the original Batwoman. [1]
History
Katarina was artificially created along with her sister Elisabeth Netz. She eventually left Spyral to be on her own. Katarina used the identity of Batwoman to become a superhero in Gotham City, where she met and fell in love with Batman. However, realizing that she could never leave her past behind, she faked her death at the hands of Bronze Tiger, who was sent by Talia to kill her. She resurfaced in the modern day when Talia had declared war on Batman. After Talia had lost, she arrived and got revenge by shooting Talia in the back of the head before disappearing once again.[2]
Shortly afterward, Spyral collapsed and its leader Mister Minos was revealed to be a mole. Katarina put in motion a plan to resurrect her father, and restore him as the head of Spyral after he had been killed by Damian Wayne. Together with her sister, she put his mind in the body of Matron. However, she soon realized the error in her ways as her father wanted nothing but destruction and domination. She attempted to kill him, but was electrocuted and thrown off a moving train into a river below, which apparently killed her.[3]
