After an encounter with the Caped Crusader, Kate Kane chose to become a new embodiment of justice, Batwoman.
History
A traumatic event during her childhood, where she lost both her mother and sister, helped shape Kate Kane into the justice seeking woman she is today. As an adult, following her father's footsteps, Kate joined the United States Army, only to be discharged for admitting to being in a homosexual relationship. Disappointed with the system, inspired by an encounter with Batman, and support from her father, Batwoman decided to take justice into her own hands.
