Kate Kane, also known as Batwoman, was a vigilante and member of the Court of Owls until her death.

After the world fell into chaos, Kate fought alongside the rest of the Batman Family in the conflicts that followed. Eventually, a new villain calling himself Omega arose, named as such because he wielded the Anti-Life Equation. Unbeknownst to most people, Omega was actually a broken Batman, who had been presumed to be the first casualty to humanity's slaughter of their heroes. Using the Equation, Omega subjugated the wills of Kate and many others. They were his slaves until Tim Drake was able to create a blocker against the Equation that he used to free hundreds of people, Kate included. The group became the new Court of Owls to oppose Omega, as the symbol of the bat had been perverted to evil.

Knowing that Omega was creating an amplifier for the Equation so powerful, it could dominate the will of every person on the planet entirely, the Court launched a desperate siege on Omega's base. They were defeated, and Kate was among those who died.

Her costume was kept in the Owl-Cave as a memorial.[1]

An image of Kate was seen among the dead in Limbo as a clone of Omega and Wonder Woman passed through.[2]
