Katie Holmes (b. December 18, 1978) portrayed Rachel Dawes in the film Batman Begins and voiced the character for the Batman Begins tie-in video game. Due to scheduling conflicts, the role was recast with Maggie Gyllenhaal for The Dark Knight.
