Sir Kay is one of the Knights of the Round Table in Arthurian lore. As such, he is depicted inconsistently and with little regard to the legends. Kay, son of Ector, was Arthur's foster brother and later seneschal. He was often portrayed as arrogant, mean and fiery-tempered as a foil for the other knights. He has no invisibility cloak or growing powers.
Sir Kay was first adapted for DC Comics by Bill Finger and Paul Cooper in Batman #36 (1946).
