Keeg is an alien Negative Spirit that was born from and merged with Larry Trainor as part of his evolution. He grants Larry his powers and helps him fight foes as a member of the Doom Patrol.
History
Birth
Before his departure from the Negative Nebula, a Negative Spirit left his friend and former partner, Larry Trainor, a little baby Keeg so that he could feel like a father again. For a few days, Keeg appeared inside Larry's stomach, causing him to vomit blue, before beginning to transport itself throughout his body until finally the day Larry gave birth came, spitting Keeg out of his mouth in his form of larva.[2][3][4][5]
Keeg started to cross into his room, but terrified to raise him, Larry took the little alien to a forest, although his paternal instincts told him to help Keeg, so he gave him a blanket and food so he could survive. After the event of the Eternal Flagellation, Larry returned to the forest to finally get a second chance as a father, raising Keeg as his own son thanks to the advice of his subconscious. Keeg was taken to the Doom Manor, where Larry raised him to keep him safe, and regularly, Keeg fired red bolts at his body to attempt to merge, causing Larry pain.[5][6][7]
Fusion with Larry
Keeg was in danger a few times when Larry and his friends confronted the villainous Madame Rouge and when Keeg accidentally caused the bus to explode from the fights between the partners along with Larry's roommate Jane's sonic scream. In the mind of the leader of the Sisterhood of Dada, Shelley Byron, Keeg was translated by Mama Pentecost, a personality of Jane, revealing that he wanted to merge with his father in order to survive, and Larry agreed, but he had to remove the bandages first, he had to urgently return to the manor while Keeg was restrained by Larry's friend, Victor Stone, to keep him safe.
Back in his room, Keeg hatched from his shell, finally showing his true appearance, and merged with his adoptive father, granting Larry new powers. United as one, Keeg and Larry tried to stop their robotic roommate, Cliff Steele, but as Keeg was primarily, they both fell unconscious. When everyone in the manor agreed to become in a supehrero team, the Doom Patrol, Keeg empowered Larry by agreeing to join, and shared his powers to face various strange evils in the world as the disgusting villain Codpiece.[7][1][8]
3 months into fighting crime, the Doom Patrol accidentally traveled to 2042, discovering that Cloverton had been devastated by the catastrophic Buttpocalypse. On his walk in the future, Larry encountered his deceased future self who revealed that he had become separated from the future Keeg, drawing the attention of the young Keeg, who met his future self, who showed him a vision that the Butts destroyed the Larry's bandages, putting the Earth at risk, forcing the future Keeg to kill his own father into the sun, before returning inside Larry, refusing to tell him what he had seen.[8][9]
Returned to the present, Keeg began to distance himself from Larry in an attempt to avoid his future death, frustrating Larry by his son's rebelliousness who began to pace around the manor, making him believe that his recent behavior was his fault. Keeg heroically headed into the artificial dimension created by the vile emotional vampire, Doctor Janus, to rescue the captive Doom Patrol, freeing the team, however, he did not return with Larry, but instead merged with the elemental metahuman, Rama, aka Mister 104. Fused with Rama, Keeg planned to have Larry go looking for him, causing his father and Rama to see their pasts, causing them to fall in love, easily returning to Larry, who was transported to the kingdom of Orqwith by the Scissormen, although Rama saved him.[10][11][12][9]
Returning to the manor, Keeg returned Larry to Orqwith, making Rama disappear, causing Larry to be trapped again by the Scissormen, who took him to the sacrarium to extract his longevity so that a cult could bring Immortus, a powerful forgotten deity, who could devastate the universe, who Keeg had faith in believing could prevent the Buttpocalypse and their separation, something Larry accepted, losing his longevity to be with Keeg.[9]
