Kent V. Nelson was the alleged grandnephew of Kent Nelson, and was among his many successors as Doctor Fate, an occult superhero empowered by the Helmet of Fate.
History
As Doctor Fate, he mediated a conflict between the sisters Thunder and Lightning over their fugitive father Black Lightning,[1] and encountered Detective Chimp, before meeting a fate unknown to the rest of the heroic community.[2]

- Kent V. Nelson was created by Steve Gerber and Justiniano, first appearing in Countdown to Mystery #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Kent V. Nelson first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Justice Society of America (Volume 4) #6 by Geoff Johns and Marco Santucci.
- However, he was first mentioned in DC Power: A Celebration #1.
