The Kent Farm is the family house of Superman's adoptive parents, Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent, located just outside Smallville, Kansas.

History

Earth-One

Superboy used his parents' farm as his first base of operations during his teen years. In order to protect his secret identity, he built a secret tunnel leading from the house to the woods surrounding the town. When his father died, eighteen-year-old Clark Kent hired Douglas Parker as caretaker[1] and left the town, although he returned every year to visit Jonathan and Martha's graves.[2]

New Earth

The Kent family farm remained in the Kent family for several generations.

Several years ago, the super-villain known as Conduit learned of Clark's dual identity as Superman and attacked the Kents in order to get to him. He destroyed the farm forcing Jonathan and Martha Kent to live on the road for several months in a recreational vehicle.[3]

The Kents eventually returned to Smallville and rebuilt their home with Superman's help.[4]

Some time later, the Kent house was destroyed again in the events of Our Worlds at War,[5] and later rebuilt by Superman.[6]

After Jonathan's death,[7] its sole occupant is Martha Kent, though her son Clark, her daughter-in-law Lois, her niece Linda, Conner Kent and even Krypto often visit and occasionally spend the night.

Prime Earth

After Jonathan and Martha's deaths, Lana Lang became the property's caretaker, although she considered to sell it for a brief time during which Clark Kent was dead.[8]
