Kentor Omoto was a member of the Green Lantern Corps.

History

Kentor Omoto was demoted from the Corps for political interference on his home planet. He attempted to influence Jayd's council, whose "progressive" laws turned his home into an immoral and strange place. After being stripped from his ring, Kentor joined a cult that worshipped him, and he turned into a new terrorist leader: the Golden Dragon.

Years later, and without explaining the truth of her mission, the Guardians assigned Laira Omoto to investigate the situation on Jayd. Laira discovered what happened to her father, and they fought. The battle ended when Laira fatally wounded Kentor and, after she refused to finish her father, he took his own life, putting an end to the regime of the Golden Dragon.

Despite the missteps he took during his career, Kentor Omoto has a commemorative place in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps.
