History

In 1954, Zorog, the dictator of Balvania, faked his own death and fled to Kerently, a dictatorship bordering his own. There he underwent a session of plastic surgery, planning to retire in luxury, and to run his Balvanian Dictatorial Party from behind the scenes. This scheme was foiled by the Blackhawk Squadron, who invaded Kerently and were able, despite the loss of half a dozen of their aircraft, to drag Zorog back to Balvania to stand trial.

Points of Interest

  • A wide river forms the national borders of Balvania and Kerently. Until at least the early 1950s, paddlewheel steamboats plied this river, and the massive highway bridge across it remained only half complete.
