King Bull Demon (Prime Earth)

King Bull Demon was an enemy turned reluctant ally of the Monkey King. He was the husband of Princess Iron Fan and the father of Red Boy, later known as King Fire Bull.

History

In the 16th Century, King Bull Demon and his family lived in a cave on Flaming Mountain in China. King Bull Demon kidnapped the pilgrim monk Tripitaka and attempted to eat him, but he was stopped by the Monkey King and Nezha, a mortal warlord turned protection deity. During the fight King Bull Demon pulled off the Red Armillary Sash that suppressed Nezha's rage, causing him to briefly revert back to his old self.

King Bull Demon was handed over to the Buddha's Warrior Guardians and was eventually able to redeem himself in heaven's eyes. Centuries later, he and his family fought with the Heavenly Realm to repel an invasion by Apokolips. Monkey King drove the invaders away, but as he retreated Darkseid personally killed King Bull Demon and Princess Iron Fan in front of their son.
