King Earthquake was a criminal who used an "earthquake machine" built by his accomplice Dr. Krann to cause earthquakes in several towns. He was captured by the Blackhawk Squadron.

In 1950, Dr. Krann developed an underground electrical system capable of triggering earthquakes. This technology was applied, by Krann's accomplice "King Earthquake," to the business of extorting big sums of money from vulnerable towns and cities, including Traffic Harbor, Grant Center, and Inland City. This business was brought to an end, with King Earthquake and his accomplice arrested, by the Blackhawks.
