Synopsis for "She's Got No Strings, Part One"

On Krypton, Kara Zor-L is on a date with her soulmate. Her boyfriend suddenly turns psychotic, saying he will disfigure her so nobody else will want her and she will be his forever. She flees home, but finds her parents with packed bags, and they tell her that they are abandoning her. Kara begs them not to leave, promising that she will be good and grabs her mother's wrist, but Allura shatters into pieces. Unperturbed, Zor-L sweeps her up into his bag and lets Kara's boyfriend in. Outside the house, the world is just a blue screen showing a "404 Error", and her boyfriend is glitching around the edges. Kara suddenly realises she doesn't even know the guy's name, and that none of what is happening is real.

She punches him in the face, but as soon as her fist connects he changes into her cousin Kal-L. They are suddenly on Earth and she is wearing her old Power Girl costume rather than a Kryptonian dress. She apologises to Kal for hitting him, but he says not to worry, and that he will just replace her. He presses a button on her chest, and she collapses to the ground, unable to move. Kal-L carries her to a junkyard, and tells the manager that she is faulty. He feeds her into a trash compactor and she is crushed, revealing that she is an android.

Power Girl hears Omen's voice in her mind and snaps awake in her bedroom, where Lilith tells her she was having a nightmare. Omen tells her they are late and drags her to a theatre where a production of Hamlet is being performed. Lilith pushes Power Girl on stage and laughs uproariously at her stage fright. Power Girl tries to fly away but Lilith stops her with a telekinetic force field. The actor playing Hamlet recites his lines at her, expecting Power Girl to reply but she doesn't know the script. Yorick's skull glows red and flies around her, and the audience are revealed to be metal skeletons in Superman costumes who boo her. Power Girl has a panic attack and is unable to speak. She flies up, smashing through the roof of the theatre, and the skeletons cheer and applaud.

In a high-tech chamber somewhere, Power Girl is unconscious in a pod, noticeably less muscular than usual and showing healed injuries.

Back at their apartment, Power Girl is angry at Lilith, but they both begin laughing when Omen says seeing her on stage was funny. Streaky attacks Lilith, and when Power Girl pulls him off he scratches her. He climbs over her shoulder and shoots Omen with his heat vision, blasting a hole in her midriff. Power Girl is horrified, but Omen doesn't die, and red smoke rises up out of the wound. Her image glitches and her voice becomes computerised. She grows to a huge size as the apartment changes into a high-tech laboratory. The giant Omen produces chains of computer code from her fingertips which bind Power Girl.

Synopsis for "The Stuff of Nightmares, Part One"

Superman and Lois are out; so Natasha Irons, Conner Kent and Kong Kenan are watching the Super-Twins. Conner allows the kids to watch a horror movie, despite Natasha's concerns that it is too scary for them. Kelex attempts to clean up some spilled popcorn near Osul-Ra and he screams when Kelex's arm brushes against him. Conner asks if the movie is too scary but Osul-Ra tells him he's not afraid of the film; Kelex's arm reminded him of the Cyborg Superman, who he is afraid of. Otho-Ra reassures him that Henshaw is trapped in the Phantom Zone, but Osul-Ra says he could return as he has the power to control machines from the Phantom Zone. Natasha turns off the movie and tells the twins it's bedtime. Osul-Ra, still frightened, asks them all to stay the night and they agree.

Natasha puts the twins to bed, but after she leaves they get out of bed to sleep on the floor as they are still not used to soft beds. Osul is unable to sleep, thinking about Henshaw, and gets up to look in Lois and Clark's empty bedroom. As he walks back to their room, he notices Conner is not sleeping in the living room with the others. Conner calls to Osul from the corner of the room, but when Osul turns to look at him, Conner has been converted into a cyborg monster. Henshaw, speaking through Conner, creeps towards Osul on the ceiling and tells the boy that he will do the same to all of them while Osul is frozen with fear.

Otho walk in and flicks on the light, and Conner disappears. Natasha and Kong wake up and Osul tells them what he saw, but Natasha assures him it was just a bad dream. However, she then notices that Conner and Krypto are gone. Kong and the twins try to listen for them with their super-hearing, but find they can't hear Conner or anything else, the entire city is silent. They look out of the window and see the city in ruins and Warworld in the sky, while black banners showing the emblem of the House of El in dripping red hang from the shattered buildings.

Kong quickly realises they are dreaming and the cyborgised Conner emerges from the TV. The Cyborg Superman attacks them, turning all the technology in the apartment, including Natahsa's armour, against them. He starts to absorb Natasha and Kong into himself, and tells them that he is going to consume every one of them, revealing that he has also absorbed Krypto.
