Even at the turn of the 21st Century, it remained a common belief among the people of Krasny-Volna that their neighboring Belvians had betrayed them to the Turks in the 13th Century. A widespread well-armed insurrection against the Transbelvian government took place in the early 2000s and many Transbelvian civilians were killed.
