Krogg was an incredibly powerful interplanetary warlord from a parallel universe.
History
In his home dimension, Krogg subjugated "a thousand planets". But when he tried to conquer the Earth of his dimension, a "wizard" was able to expel him into the space between dimensions. Many years later, when the Superman of Earth-Two was using the JSA's Transmatter Cube to travel to Earth-One, Professor Potter accidently caused a short-circuit in the JLA's Transmatter Cube, which caused a rip into interdimensional space to form. Krogg used that rip to escape to Earth-One in Superman's place, where he used his superior strength and durability to defeat the Superman of Earth-One and announce his plans to conquer this new Earth, all in the few minutes it took for the Earth-Two Superman to find the rip and follow Krogg to Earth-One.[1]
Krogg swatted Superman-Two aside, and began to engage the US military. Superman-Two rescued Superman-One (who was floating unconscious in space), and the two strategized with Potter on how to stop Korgg. The Supermen realized that neither of them was strong enough to defeat Korgg in combat, so Potter modified the Transmatter Cube to combine the two into one super-Superman! The combined Supermen were able to engage Korgg and observe that his body was composed of a form of matter that was capable of generating and storing vast amounts of energy. They then forced Korgg to generate and expend so much energy that his body reached its limit and Korgg exploded. The Supermen were then able to separate just moments before their unstable body would have exploded too.[2]
