Krypto is an energetic and reckless Kryptonian canine who uses his abilities to protect Earth alongside other superheroes. He is Superman's pet and often fights battles alongside him in the city of Metropolis.

History

Krypto is the loyal companion of the Superman Family, protecting them from villains such as Lex Luthor and the Engineer, as well as perceived threats like Lois Lane. He also helps with Superman's heroic deeds.

• This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the DC Universe and is an adaptation of Krypto. The original character was created by Otto Binder and Curt Swan and first appeared in Adventure Comics #210.
• Krypto was primarily created with visual effects, with dog actor Jolene acting as a stand-in on-set. Krypto was 3D modeled after Ozu, Superman writer-director James Gunn's pet dog.
