Krypto was a Kryptonian dog that was sent to Earth along with Kal-El. Their spaceship crashed in Metropolis, being collected and covered up by the government.
History
Krypto was the only thing that made Kal-El happy while in captivity by the government. Subject Zero mind-controlled Krypto to attack Lionel Luthor during his visit, killing the young Lex Luthor and getting Krypto put down.
