Kryptylium was a utilitarian metal, used on Krypton to make household utensils and devices.
History
It was strongly attracted by magnetic fields, and thus when Krypton's Weather Control satellite malfunctioned[1] all of the Kryptylium was drawn upwards toward it.
All of the Kyptonian Service Robots, as well as the Robot Police, were constructed of Kryptylium, which made it easy for Jor-El to defeat them when Gra-Mo took control of all robots with his Telepathic Helmet. Jor-El brought the Weather Satellite down a second time, collected the robots using the intense magnetic field, and dropped them in Krypton's Fire Falls.[1]
Trivia
- As Kryptylium is strongly attracted to magnets, it is most likely a ferromagnetic alloy containing Cobalt, Nickel, or Iron.
