Krystal was a young woman temporarily possessed as a Star Sapphire.
History
The Star Sapphire gemstone took possession of a girl named Krystal who was visiting Salisbury, England. She was only a temporary host as the gem sought out "the body that its chosen Earthmate desires".
Upon finding Carol Ferris, who the Star Sapphire gem took to be the one her earthmate desired, it abandoned Krystal in the airplane that Carol was flying. Krystal was killed when the Star Sapphire detonated the plane after taking possession of Carol.
