Synopsis for "Where Dreams End"
Captain Marvel is teleported into space by Chaos and hurtles towards a distant planet where he crashes through the roof of a bar and lands on a very drunk Lobo. Captain Marvel apologizes to Lobo, but Lobo punches Captain Marvel and says he wants to fight. Captain Marvel refuses and walks over to the bar with one of the other, friendlier customers. Captain Marvel explains to the customer about the War of the Gods, and how he got there. The customer tries to help, and offers several suggestions as to how Captain Marvel could get back to Earth. Meanwhile, Lobo, who is very angry, enters the bathroom. There is another man in the bathroom, and fearfully observes Lobo's hooked chain (I'm being serious, this isn't a joke) while they both relieve themselves. Back outside, Lobo exits the bathroom and pulls Captain Marvel's stool out from under him, claiming that the stool was his, in an attempt to goad Marvel into fighting him. Marvel still refuses, and begrudgingly lets Lob take the stool. Marvel, is looking on Lobo with contempt, when everyone suddenly hears cries for help. Marvel goes to the bathroom to see what the fuss is all about, and finds the man who looked at Lobo's chain (*sigh*) is jammed in a toilet feet first. This is the last straw for Marvel, so Marvel walks out and punches Lobo square in the face.
While the crowd watches in awe and in fear, Lobo remarks that there must be a god, and tackles Marvel through the wall, exiting the bar. As they fall from the top floor of a building where the bar was, Marvel punches Lobo, and Lobo goes crashing through the roof of another establishment. Marvel gets worried that he may have hit Lobo too hard, and goes to take a look. Lobo jumps out and sucker punches Marvel in the face, remarking that he doesn't "Know the meaning of 'too hard'". While Marvel recovers, Lobo takes out his chain and wraps it around Marvel's neck. He then attaches the end of the chain to the back his spacehog, and drives away. As Lobo goes joyriding while singing, with Captain Marvel bouncing around in the back, Marvel snaps the chain binding his neck. Lobo, spurred on by the loss of his chain, is too angry to react when Marvel speeds up behind the hog and uppercuts Lobo in the face. Lobo crashes, and rummages around in his jacket looking for the 'frag grenade'. When he can't find it, Lobo resolves to duke it out with Marvel using no weapons. Lobo waits as Marvel flies towards him, rambling about he will make an example out of Lobo that will make all other bullies rethink their actions. Just when Marvel is about to make contact with Lobo, Marvel disappears in a flash of light, leaving behind a very bewildered Lobo.
