Lady Emerald is the leader of the house of Emerald, one of the noble houses of Gemworld. The best known bearer of this title was corrupted by a demon into Fire Jade. She was a major enemy of Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld. Her middle daughter Princess Emerald inherited the title.

Lady Emerald was created by Dan Mishkin, Gary Cohn and Ernie Colon, first appearing in Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld #4 (1983).
