Lady Nora (Dark Knights of Steel)

Lady Nora is the wife of Viktor, the wizard who brought the curse of the Allwinter upon Jarnlünd.

Twenty-one years ago, Viktor was the court magus to King Maxwell. Nora was considered the most beautiful woman in the kingdom[1] and Maxwell made unwanted advances on her. Nora and Viktor went to meet with Maxwell in his chamber, so that Nora could rebuff him in private and spare his dignity. However, Maxwell forcibly kissed her when she did so. She pushed him away and struck him and Viktor stormed into the chamber.[2]

Suddenly, an assassin's arrow burst through the wall. It passed through Maxwell's neck and hit Nora in the chest, killing Maxwell instantly and mortally wounding Nora. Viktor cast a spell to keep Nora on the brink of life and death, in the process cursing the land with an endless Allwinter and stripping colour itself from Jarnlünd.[3] Twenty-one years later, Alec Holland used the power of The Green to restore Nora and break the curse. She joyfully reunited with Viktor.[2]
