- Velvet Tiger was created by Barbara Kesel and Trevor von Eeden, first appearing in Detective Comics #518. However, Velvet Tiger first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Batgirl (Volume 4) #43 by Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher.
