Synopsis for Crimson Avenger and Wing: "The Crime Concerto"

Mickey Gordon, who received super-hearing, is ordered to get friendly with a pianist named Alice Howard to steal a diamond she owns. This proves easy as his enhanced sense also gives him a precise appreciation of the musical arts. This does indeed impress Alice, and soon Mickey's telling her his life story, but in spite of learning he's a convict she offers to let him be her date to a concert that evening.

Crimson Avenger and Wing find out where Mickey and Alice have gone, then head to the concert hall. They beat up Mickey and the rest of his posse, but Alice is still convinced of his sincerity. And because nobody's actually tried to steal the diamond, the police can't hold Mickey on merely Crimson Avenger's suspicion.

To test whether Mickey really loves her, Alice hands him the diamond jewelry he's after to hold for a minute. He refuses to leave with the other criminals now that they have what they want and gets gunned down for his sentimental trouble. Crimson Avenger chases the crook to the top of a radio mast where he jumps for a ladder hanging from a passing blimp and gets away. Alice is more concerned with the fact that Mickey's wound was only superficial.

Millionaire Don Coty's obsessed with the legend of Don Quixote. He goes to a magic show where a performer dressed as Merlin intrigues him, and who convinces Coty to throw a party where the attendees will show up dressed as their favorite historical character. In reality this is Fingers, the crook who received super-touch, plotting to rob Coty. Unknown to Fingers and his gang, one of the attendees more than looks like the Shining Knight.

"Merlin" and his gang perform for a bit but suddenly toss gas bombs at the attendees and hurry inside where they steal a giant "topaze" from Coty's safe. The Shining Knight pursues and activates an army of motorized toy knights that knocks around the criminals. However his sword hits an exposed electrical wire and knocks out the hero. With Shining Knight down, Don Coty decides this is the moment he's been waiting for, dons his armor and rides his steed out to the windmill where the gang's taken refuge.

Before Don Coty really gets in over his head and is shot by the crooks as he makes a long run over open ground to their roosting place, Shining Knight recovers and blinds the gunman by reflecting moonlight off the blade of his magic sword. Shining Knight batters the gang around, but is told he's too late: the topaz is already on its way to the mastermind by carrier pigeon. In recognition of his help, Shining Knight proceeds to knight Don Coty.

After he learns what they were after, Mr. Pemberton decides to take his family on a sea cruise to keep the gem out of the gang's hands. Finding out the Pembertons are going on a whale hunt, Bloodhound steals a giant stuffed whale from a museum as a decoy and then storms the Pemberton yacht. After a fight with Star and Stripesy the rest of his gang's defeated, but Bloodhound goes overboard and swims to a seaplane that carries him and the emerald back to the Sixth Sense.

However he refuses to expose this knowledge, as he's afraid of his reputation being smeared when he's investigated and it comes out that he used to be a virile actor who's gotten fat. The Sixth Sense is behind this, using it to maneuver Leo Palate, his underling with super-taste, into winning Denner's confidence. Palate not only identifies every food put in front of him while blindfolded, he finds the poisoned food easily. He then openly admits he's there to steal Denner's prize blue-white diamond, and by keeping Denner alive, eventually the man will slip up and reveal its location.

Denner's nephew, Percival, scares the crooks into thinking he's the Vigilante, only for the real Vigilante to show up. Denner knocks him out, not planning to lose such a qualified food-taster, but Palate's had enough and speeds up the job by threatening to shoot Percival if he doesn't learn where the diamond's hidden.

Vigilante and Percival team up and through some trickery capture Palate's gang, and it's revealed Denner gave them a false lead. He really hides the diamond inside an ice cube in his freezer. However the chef was, after all, an undercover man for the Sixth Sense's gang all along, and he steals the diamond to collect Palate's reward.

A reformed Mickey Gordon leads the Seven Soldiers to their enemy's lair and helps them survive its traps. The robot unmasks as a man, and tells the heroes he was a member of an expedition to Africa that found a jewel-encrusted idol. The other men each claimed a jewel but gave him only the worthless, picked-clean idol for his prize. As the heroes watched, trapped behind a wall of laser bars, he replaces the jewels in the idol which opens a secret panel with the legendary "Lifestone" inside. Anything he shines it on comes to life, and he uses it to create an army of statues around town. However when Vigilante tackles the man the Lifestone absorbs the mastermind's life and turns him to stone.
