The Legion of Doom is a villain team made up for the worst enemies of the members of the Justice League, banded together by Lex Luthor.
History
In spite of the Legion's combined might and determination, the Leaguers won out every direct confrontation. After a while the villainous group devised a new strategy: slipping into the Hall of Justice disguised as ghosts so the Leaguers wouldn't know what they were facing or how to fight them, and picking them up one by one. Brainiac shrank nearly every Leaguer, trapping them in a bottle, and Sinestro froze Supergirl in a yellow energy bubble. Nonetheless, Mystery, Inc. -who had been invited in the Hall by the League-, managed to keep the Legion distracted just long enough for the Leaguers freeing themselves and beating the Legion down.[1]
