Legion of Super-Heroes/Bugs Bunny Special #1 is a one-shot with a cover date of August, 2017. It was published on June 14, 2017.

Synopsis for "The Imposter Superboy!"

Supergirl is sick due to infecting herself with Rigel Fever to save the Legion from Mordru, and her lover Brainiac 5 is driving himself crazy searching a cure. He's even built a new Computo. Lightning Lass asks him if he's gone insane, but Brainiac reassures her that Computo won't try to kill them all again... probably... because he's programmed him to love.

Nevertheless, Computo 2 states there's only one cure for Kara's illness: an atom called Illudium Phosdex that has been extinct since the 24th century. Dream Girl butts into the conversation to inform she had a dream where Supergirl was saved by someone looked just like Superboy. Ayla reasons that Nura's vision means Superboy can help them get that strange atom and save his cousin. Brainy orders Computo 2 bring Superboy to the 31st century. Computo seems oddly hesitant but he heads off.

Computo arrives in the 21st century and easily finds Clark Kent, but he's reluctant to bring Superboy back in spite of it being the only way to cure Kara. Then something else draws its attention: across the town, Bugs Bunny is growing carrots. After looking over his crops he checks in on three special carrots which will allow him to harvest the whole field quickly, and turns in. At the night, Computo 2 sends him to the future.

The Legion has gathered around the Time Cube to greet Superboy, and they're absolutely shocked when Bugs steps out of it. Bugs also wonders what he's gotten into -this time- and who those rude kids -who keep calling him a pet- are. Brainiac is wondering why Computo brought Bugs back instead of Superboy, but it occurs to Brainiac that maybe the atom Illudium Phosdex is contained within Bugs' body. He asks Bugs to help them out, and Bugs is willing... until he lays his eyes on the hellish contraption Brainiac calls "examination chair".

Bugs Bunny decides it's time to leave. The Legion tries to stop him futilely. During the ensuing brawl, Computo sends out a signal which is answered by no one other than Validus. The Legion battles Validus, and Bugs once again decides to hightail it. Though he can't bring himself to abandon the Legionnaires, and notices his special carrots were sent to the future together with the rest of his belongings.

The Legionnaires try to fight Validus off, but Computo 2 uses its knowledge of each Legionnaire to bring the heroes down. Then it leads Validus to Supergirl's med bed and commands him to destroy the Kryptonian heroine.

They're stopped by Bugs Bunny, whom a bite of his special carrots have turned into Super-Bugs. Super-powered Bugs easily defeats both villains.

The battle has been won, but Supergirl is dying. Brainiac 5 accuses Computo 2 from intentionally sabotaging the mission to save her. Computo 2 confesses: because Brainiac programmed him to love, he fell in love with his creator. He was jealous of Brainiac and Supergirl's love and wanted Kara out of the way. He's ashamed of hurting Brainaic, though, so it self-destructs.

For the third time Bugs is about to leave for his own time, but he agrees to help the Legion out. His last special carrot left contains more than enough Illudium Phosdex to cure Kara. Supergirl comes around, and she and Brainiac share a kiss.

Back in present-day Smallville, Bugs harvests his field. In the 31st century, the Legion has built a statue for Super-Bugs.

Synopsis for "Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes"

Supergirl is sick due to infecting herself with Rigel Fever to save the Legion from Mordru, and her lover Brainiac 5 is driving himself crazy searching a cure. He's even built a new Computo. Ultra Boy doesn't trust Computo 2 given that the original tried to kill them all, but Brainiac states Computo is harmless now because he's been programmed to love them all.

Computo 2 calculates there's only one cure for Kara's illness: an atom called Illudium Phosdex that has been extinct since the 24th century. Brainy reasons Superboy may help them, so he orders Computo 2 bring Clark to the 31st century. Computo leaves.

In the 21st century, Bugs Bunny is harvesting his crops. It's a tough task, so he bites one of his special carrots and becomes Super-Rabbit. Computo 2 turns up when he's done with harvesting and tells him he's travelled from the future because the Legion needs his assistance. Bugs decides whatever that "talking washing machine" is talking about, it must be more interesting than milking cows.

Bugs arrives in the future and quickly annoys Ultra Boy before flying off. He accidentally stumbles upon the miracle machine as he's wishing his carrots were there. His wish comes true and he begins eating.

Brainiac 5, Lightning Lass and Ultra Boy are coming up with a way to deal with Bugs Bunny when Validus crashes into the headquarters. Validus quickly does away with the trio of Legionnaires and heads to murder Supergirl, but Bugs stops and defeats him.

Brainiac 5 questions why Computo 2 didn't return with Superboy and why its security system didn't alert them of Validus. Computo admits he was jealous of Brainiac's love for Supergirl. As it breaks down, Computo reveals Super-Rabbit's carrots contain Illidium Phosdex.

Brainiac creates a cure. Supergirl awakens and kisses Brainiac 5. The Legionnaires thank Bugs and he's made an honorary member of the Legion.
