The new recruits of the Legion practice on their combat skills on a virtual reality system when they are called to their Headquarters to meet even more members from across the United Planets. They arrive at a derelict ship and split into teams to investigate. When Saturn Girl gets enmeshed in a mysterious sticky substance, several Legionnaires run off to figure out who or what did it to her.
