Leland McCauley was the former leader of the Order of Purity.
History
He was the leader when the Order's enforcer, Azrael became too unstable and started killing innocent people. Leland decided that the time had come to replace Abraham Arlington with Michael Lane and he introduced the Order of Purity to Lane, convincing him to become their new Azrael. However, Leland was killed by Merlyn, when the Order was attacked by the Seven Men of Death.[1]
McCauley's body was taken to the Gotham Central Hospital's Morgue by the other members of the Order.[2]
Notes
- It is assumed that Arlington retrieved the Suit of Sorrows from the Batcave under Leland's instructions.
