Lena was an artificial intelligence left in charge of controlling 'The Tech', the leftover of the B13 technology in Metropolis, modelled after Lex Luthor's daughter, Lena Luthor.
History
She takes care of the daily chores of the city, such as running the rail whale, serving coffe, attending phone calls, etc.
She eventually started searching for her purpose, and for that end attached herself to Jimmy Olsen's special watch, to learn of humanity, and eventually fell in love with him.[1]
