Lillian Luthor

The mother of Lex Luthor is known as Lillian, Arlene or Leticia Luthor. She is the wife of Lionel Luthor and also the adoptive mother of Lena Luthor and aunt of Lori Luthor. Treated with little consistency, she is either in hiding, long dead or a criminal mastermind herself.

Luthor's mother was created by Jerry Siegel and Kurt Schaffenberger, first appearing as Arlene Thorul in Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane #23 (1961).
