Actor Djimon Hounsou played the role of Papa Midnite in the 2005 Warner Bros. film, Constantine.

Papa Midnite once took his own life by leaping from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. In the 1930s, this section of skyscraper functioned as the headquarters of the pulp hero known as Doc Savage.
