Lloyd Crayton is a construction worker who was mutated into a monstrous Doomsday-like creature known as Doombreaker.
History
Lloyd Crayton witnessed the Death of Superman and was one of the workers who cleaned up the debris in Metropolis after Doomsday was defeated. He took a piece of Doomsday's bone from the site as a souvenir and kept it in his home for years. The bone exuded a vapour that slowly mutated him over years until he transformed into a Doomsday himself.
Possessed of Doomsday's hatred for Kryptonians, Crayton attacked Superman, but the Man of Steel was able to restore him to normal by channelling his heat vision through the shard and blasting Doombreaker.[1] Lloyd initially appeared to be fully cured, but his physical condition rapidly deteriorated and he was taken to S.T.A.R. Labs for treatment, where he fell into a coma.[2] He unexpectedly woke up and instinctively tracked the bone fragment across the continental United States from Metropolis to California, where Jon Kent had taken it. Along the way he partially transformed back into Doombreaker.[3]
Doombreaker found the shard and was driven to use it to make his transformation permanent.[4] He regained his full power and attacked Superman in a blind rage.[5] They fought until Lois Lane froze him in place with a stasis beam she had recovered from a crashed alien spaceship.[6] Crayton eventually broke free of the beam, but before he could attack Lois he was teleported away by Glyanna of P'luhnn.[7]

Powers
- Transformation: Crayton transforms into a four-armed monstrous Doomsday-like creature.
- Rapid Evolution: Doombreaker possesses a variant of Doomsday's ability to resurrect from death immune to what had killed him. Doombreaker is able to evolve while alive, and developed multiple new powers during a fight with Superman.
