Quote1 There's one thing you have to remember, out in space. Everyone is more dangerous than they look. And everyone's a little crazy, too. They must be. Otherwise, they'd settle down on some quiet little planet away from all the chaos and violence. It's the darkness that does it, I think. The deep black, so heavy it weighs you down. Some of us carry that darkness with us...everywhere we go. We learn to use it...to channel insanity...to put it to work for us...and, if we're lucky...to reign it back in from time to time. Quote2

Synopsis for "Beware His Might"

On Har'ranth, a Yellow Lantern Ring was about to choose General Straix to join the Yellow Lantern Corps before Lobo shot him in the head, causing the ring to search for a replacement. Lobo followed the ring in his ship and captured it before focusing on his target Sinestro. He visited the Uzriel Pleasure Oasis, where Pascal Xantes advised him on how to draw Sinestro out: a rescue mission at the decommissioned Reaper Prison. Lobo visited the prison and fought Warden Artredis Qon and his guards before killing them all and turning his attention to the Korugarian prisoners and throwing one into space to draw out Sinestro.

Lobo's planned worked and the Yellow Lanterns, although without Sinestro, tore apart his ship. Soranik found Korugarians onboard Lobo's ship while the other lanterns defeated him before leaving. Lobo was able to place trackers on the Korugarians before the Yellow Lanterns took them and regenerated his flesh and skin.

He followed the escaped Korugarians to New Korugar/Necropolis and landed on the planet, undetected, then attempted to sneak up on Umaraal Jarta, who claimed that Sinestro was preoccupied. Contrary to this, Sinestro appeared before Lobo, claimed that his guidance was "ever-present" and fought him. The Yellow Lanterns appeared and Sinestro, who revealed that he was the one who put out the contract on himself, called it off and claimed that Lobo passed his test. Sinestro wanted Lobo to destroy the Yellow Lantern Corps' enemies on their behalf.
