According to one of the varying origins of the Green Lantern, Lois Lane was an adventurer and archaeologist.
History
She was murdered and her body was dumped into the Atlantic Ocean where Florida used to be. It is unknown what happened next, some say she was found by mermaids or maybe angels, but either way she was granted the power to become the Green Lantern.[1]
