Lois Lane was a reporter for the Daily Planet, working alongside Clark Kent who is also Superman, the de facto leader of the Super Friends. While Lois was interviewing Lex Luthor who was in prison at one time, Lex Luthor used holographic technology to switch places between himself and Lois so he could escape imprisonment. Superman realized what had happened and restored Lois' normal appearance.
